24V DC System Architecture detail

24V DC System Architecture

A lower-voltage lighting format for projects designed around 24V DC power distribution. It supports practical route zoning and avoids using mains voltage directly at the strip level.

Continuous Visual Guidance in tunnel

Continuous Visual Guidance

A continuous line of light helps reduce perceived dark intervals along access ways, work zones and service routes, supporting clearer orientation for personnel and maintenance teams.

IP65 Silicone-Extruded Housing

IP65 Silicone-Extruded Housing

The supplied configuration uses a silicone-extruded housing and is listed as IP65. Confirm the final protection level for the complete strip, connector and end-seal assembly before release.

Planned Maintenance Zones

Planned Maintenance Zones

A properly segmented 24V layout helps teams identify power sections, inspect connections and plan maintenance around defined route zones.

"For mining and tunnel lighting, safety is not a single feature. It is the result of suitable voltage selection, continuous illumination, approved protection details and disciplined installation planning."

What Is a 24V Mining LED Strip?

A 24V mining LED strip is a low-voltage, silicone-extruded linear lighting product designed for short, controlled underground and industrial route sections. It delivers continuous illumination along mine access ways, tunnel work areas and service corridors when the system is planned with appropriate feed points.

Unlike standard indoor LED tape, a mining route-lighting system must be selected around electrical loading, cable length, connection protection, environmental exposure and maintenance access. The 24V format is especially practical where the project already operates on a 24V DC architecture or where the route can be divided into manageable lighting zones.

24V Tunnel & Mining LED Strip Manufacturer & Supplier

At Xmart, we configure 24V mining LED strip systems around the actual route and installation conditions. We help project teams define output level, reel length, cable exit, connector format and feed-point arrangement before production.

For underground route lighting, the strip is only one part of the solution. The final performance depends on how the product, power supply, cable, end seal and installation layout work together on site.

24V vs 36V vs 48V: Select the Voltage by Route Design

Current Page

24V System

Short, zoned route sections

Best for existing 24V DC infrastructure and planned feed points.

36V System

Medium-length routes

Suitable when a 24V route requires too many feed points.

48V System

Extended linear routes

Better for longer corridors where reducing feed points is a major objective.

Note: Higher voltage reduces current for the same load, but it does not replace project-specific voltage-drop calculations. Select voltage according to route length, strip load, feeder cable, site access and maintenance strategy.

Plan the 24V System Before Installation

A 24V mining lighting route should be planned as a series of controlled lighting zones.

AC Mains Input
24V DC
24V DC power supply
Protected feeder cable
Approved connection point
Planned lighting zone (24V Strip)
End seal

Next feed point

Final wiring, circuit protection, power supply selection and installation must be completed by qualified personnel in accordance with local electrical and mine-site requirements.

Safety Notice

24V does not automatically mean intrinsically safe or explosion-proof. Hazardous-area use requires the exact product and installation to meet the applicable site approval requirements.

Documentation That Supports Safer Project Decisions

For mining and tunnel projects, a product photo is not enough. Project teams need the final configuration, electrical data and protection details to be reviewed before deployment.

  • Approved Product Specification
  • Profile and Connection Drawing
  • Electrical Loading Information
  • Applicable Document Review for the Destination Market

Do not publish claims for IP67, IK10, flame retardancy, tensile strength, hazardous-area approval, warranty or certification unless the exact finished 24V configuration is supported by valid documentation.

24V Mining LED Strip FAQ

Why is 24V used for mining and tunnel route lighting?
24V is often selected for short, controlled route sections and projects already designed around a 24V DC infrastructure.
Does 24V make the system safer?
24V supports a lower-voltage system architecture than mains-voltage strip installations. Overall safety still depends on the approved power supply, circuit protection, connection details and installation method.
How long can a 24V mining LED strip run from one feed point?
There is no universal maximum distance. It depends on strip load, feeder cable, route layout, allowable voltage drop and brightness requirements.
Is the product IP67 or IP68?
The supplied configuration is listed as IP65. Confirm the final rating for the complete strip, connector and end-seal assembly.
Is the 24V mining LED strip explosion-proof?
Do not classify it as explosion-proof unless the exact model and installation are supported by the required hazardous-area certification.
Can Xmart help with the power supply and connectors?
Yes. Submit the route length, output target and existing power arrangement for a project configuration review.
